The Yuenyueng (yinyong or yuanyang) is a drink originating from Hong Kong that we transform in a Veggie Yuenyueng. The original is prepared from coffee, black tea and condensed milk.
It’s really aromatic and can be drunk hot or cold.
Traditionally, yuenyueng used to be served in Dai pai dongs (open-air food stores) and Cha chaan tengs (coffee shops). Nowadays, the popular yuenyueng can be enjoyed in different restaurants in Hong Kong. It’s usually served with a delicious egg pastry , also exclusive of this Asian country with English reminiscence. It’s usual to have Yuenyueng as a snack around 5 in the afternoon.
We tried this exotic drink at the MegaShow in Hong Kong. We really liked the mix of flavors and it gave us enough energy to work all day long with hardly any rest. Now we understand the frenetic rhythm of work in Hong Kong and its secret.
