<< If you have any recipes or suggestions you would like to share with us about CBE and Emulsionizer, we would be delighted to hear from you.
We would recommend you to clean all the spare parts by hand immediately after using the Emulsionizer.
If you do use a dishwasher, only the borosilicate glass jar, the filter and the discs should be loaded into it.
CAUTION: The wooden parts of the Emulsionizer should NOT be cleaned in the dishwasher, as they could get damaged in the process (if needed, you can remove the handle from the filter).
CBE is Made in Europe using the best European sourced plastics. It has been certified as safe to be in contact with water of up to 100ºC during 10 minutes without generating any kind of chemical migration into the coffee or the food that you make.
Yes you can, it is made of 304 Stainless Steel.
You can make most of the recipes with both. However, please be aware that CBE stainless steel mesh’s holes are quite smaller than Emulsionizer’s because they have been designed for different purposes.
Therefore, if you make an Immersion or Cold Brew coffee with the Emulsionizer you will notice that too many drips go into the coffee, so you will want to let them settle on the bottom before drinking, or it could feel quite unpleasant. And if you make a CBE type of coffee, always use the “blind” (non micro-perforated) or the 300 micron disc (0,3), never the 500 micron disc (0,5) or unpleasant coffee bean particles (or nut peel particles) will go through the filter.
The materials they are made of and the pore sizes of the filter. Please check this chart:
